BET has found a new way to disgrace and degrade black americans. Oddly enough there isn’t enough of a backlash. Actually that’s not odd to me. It’s the norm. The culture of apathy continues to show its ugly head in this culture. I can’t handle it however.

New York, NY (BlackNews.com) – BET is about to take you on an hour-long freak show with the premiere of THE TOP 25 FABULOUS FREAKS. Debuting Wednesday, June 27 @ 10 p.m./ET, BET proves that freaks come out at night by opening the flood gates and showcasing the freakiest people on this planet. Hosted by the adorable Toccarra Jones and the very freakish John Salley, this “R” rated special will have you rolling on the floor as it counts down 25 individuals that have absolutely NO SHAME TO THEIR GAME.
When I saw this on BlackNews.com I was more than irritated. I find it insulting to our intelligence when a network claims to provide quality programming instead provides swill of the worst kind. BET has been in business for over 20 years. This “Top 25″ series of shows are fairly recent, however. My question is this: when will BET then follow up with a “Top 25 Black Moguls,” “Top 25 Black Pioneers,” “Top 25 Positive Role Models?” When will BET actually listen to the negative criticism it is getting and change its programming? Not that it was any better under Bob Johnson, it has certainly taken a toll for the worse. It is obvious whoever is at the helm doesn’t know squat about black people. A modern day minstrel show plays out before our eyes and we do nothing. If you would like to write to BET, I’ve got you covered:
